Tax-Efficient Planning

Tax should be considered before the decision, not discovered afterwards.

For business owners and professionals, the tax outcome is often shaped long before a return is filed. How value is extracted, assets are held, investments are sold and succession is funded can matter as much as the transaction itself, particularly when surplus capital sits inside a business with no clear extraction plan.

What we offer

Model the choices before committing.

Coordinated tax planning

A solid teal right-pointing chevron arrow.
We coordinate tax planning with investment, retirement, estate and succession decisions. This may include available allowances and deductions, the timing and route of capital extraction, capital-gains planning, retirement contributions and drawdowns, share transactions, cross-border considerations and the tax implications of an estate or business transition.

Timing and extraction

We also weigh the timing of income and expenses across tax years, the interaction between salary, dividends and other extraction methods, and how retirement contributions affect the overall tax position.

Business owners

For business owners, we examine retained earnings, loan accounts and trust funding, including Section 7C where it applies to related-party loans within trust structures. Broader legal and company-law matters are reviewed with the appropriate professional case by case, rather than treated as standard tax-planning tools.

How we think about it

Lawful, supportable and documented.

Tax efficiency is not about forcing every decision towards the lowest immediate tax bill. It is about understanding the after-tax outcome, preserving flexibility and avoiding a structure that creates a larger problem elsewhere. We model the alternatives, record the assumptions and work with Victus Tax and Accounting and other advisers where specialist implementation is required.

A structure that saves tax today can create complexity or cost later, particularly around estate duty or capital gains tax at death. We weigh the immediate saving against the longer-term picture.
